The Sprinterbus: A New Way To Connect Wesleyan Students With The Local Community

By | February 21, 2023

The Wesleyan community is excited to introduce the Sprinterbus, a new shuttle service that will connect students with the local community. The Sprinterbus will provide students with an easy and convenient way to get around town, while also giving them the opportunity to explore all that the local area has to offer.

The shuttle will run on a regular schedule, making stops at popular destinations such as the local grocery store, coffee shop, and library. Additionally, the Sprinterbus will offer students a safe and reliable way to get to and from campus, as well as to other nearby colleges and universities.

We believe that the Sprinterbus will be a valuable resource for Wesleyan students, and we are committed to providing a high-quality service that meets the needs of our community.

If you have any questions about the Sprinterbus, or if you would like to learn more about our other shuttle services, please contact the Office of Student Affairs. We look forward to seeing you on board!

Wesleyan University is excited to announce a new partnership with the Middletown Transit District (MTD) that will provide Wesleyan students with free transportation to and from campus and the local community. The Sprinterbus, a new shuttle service provided by MTD, will begin operation on August 25th, 2019.

The Sprinterbus will make two loops around campus, with stops at South College, Usdan Center, Olin Library, and the WesleyanCard Center. The shuttle will also make stops at the Middletown Transit District’s main transfer station, as well as at Middlesex Hospital.

The shuttle service will operate Monday through Friday, from 7:00am to 7:00pm. Wesleyan students, faculty, and staff will be able to ride the shuttle for free with their Wesleyan ID.

The Sprinterbus is just one of the many ways Wesleyan is working to improve access and connectivity between campus and the local community. For more information about the Sprinterbus, or any of Wesleyan’s other transportation options, please visit the Transportation Services website.
